A group of athletes sought NewFoundry’s expertise to help develop and launch their all-new energy beverage product. NewFoundry’s brand, design, and engineering teams worked seamlessly together from end-to-end to help bring the brand to life and into production.
University of Michigan gymnasts Jordan Gaarenstroom and Sam Mikulak and elite wrestler Alex Anunciation had a vision: launch a company around the yerba maté drink they created that helped them get to the top of their respective sports. Jordan, Sam, and Alex partnered with NewFoundry, and together we built the company from the ground up.
NewFoundry strategists carved out a unique positioning for the brand through a series of discovery workshops, marketplace exploration, and research with potential customers. NewFoundry designers forged a visual identity around the unique connectedness concept developed for the brand that embodies the spirit and ideals of its founders. Our engineers helped uncover various options for production and distribution, then worked with our design team to develop the packaging. We delivered an all-new website, matebros.com, designed as a dynamic extension of the brand with the flexibility Maté Bros needed as the company took shape and accelerated toward launch. Finally, we designed the product labeling and supported the brand with key touch points throughout its successful Kickstarter campaign.
