Movimento is a pioneer in the automotive software updating and vehicle knowledge management industry. They have set the standard when it comes to advanced vehicle reflashing and diagnostics. Their handheld vehicle reflash technology (Puma®) has touched vehicle fleets across the globe. NewFoundry has been by their side during Movimento’s development of an innovative suite of integrated services in response to the global OEM demand for “connected car solutions.”

NewFoundry were called upon to define and design a portfolio of branded solutions for their innovative and user-friendly services. The result was the launch of Altero®, Premio®, Venturo®, and Nuvolo®. This integrated, cloud-based services suite has propelled the company forward into new consideration sets with leading automotive OEMs and technology partners.

Our work moved beyond branding and design and into the areas of software engineering and application development. We developed an iOS-based application for their Premio® solution, called Premio X. The iPhone® and iPad® app enables you to pinpoint the exact vehicles in your fleet that require specific automotive software updates and then performs the necessary ECU software update on the spot.

We later extended the Premio X over-the-air (OTA) vehicle reflashing platform, shifting it from a B2B, enterprise-centered solution to a consumer application. We designed and engineered a new interface and deployed it on a 2014 Cadillac CTS demo vehicle to show how the Movimento OTA Platform can update infotainment apps as easily as it can update firmware. The installation was featured at TU-Automotive Detroit by Mitsubishi Electric and Movimento as part of the introduction of the new generation of Mitsubishi FLEXConnect™ In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems.

Our relationship with Movimento continues to expand in the areas of mobile technology and custom software development in support of their new technologies – helping them to continue staying ahead of the curve.
